This same drive was behind our development of Threads, which was created by SendGrid Labs to offer you a new way to communicate with your users based on events and behaviors.
In the months since Threads launched, we’ve collected additional feedback from our customers about their experiences with the product. We’ve learned that while there is strong interest in triggered/automated email functionality, customers want it to be integrated into SendGrid’s core platform. After careful consideration of this feedback and the most important problems for us to solve on your behalf, we’ve decided to sunset Threads at the end of 2016.
- Threads’ current functionality will be maintained through December 31, 2016.
- We will continue to offer 24/7 support for Threads through December 31, 2016.
- We will evaluate options for launching similar functionality in core SendGrid products in the future, but we do not have anything specific to announce at this time.
Finally, we want to assure you that the SendGrid Labs team will continue to invest in development of innovative, valuable communication solutions for you. We hope you’ll continue to join us in this effort because innovation simply doesn’t succeed without your input.
